Weekend Picks

The Jubilee’s over and you’re nearing the end of a grueling THREE DAY WEEK. In theory you have two working days of energy in reserve. So this weekend you’ll be dripping in verve, sweating joie de vivre. Perfect for a culture-filled two days of London loving. Plus, if you’ve been house-bound – petrified of ‘death by Union Jack’ – you can come out now. You have a short hiatus before the Olympics begin.

Today you could head to a talk at the ICA from the master of musical eclecticism; an animation lover’s wet dream on the Southbank; partake in some late-night monkeying around; or some late-night philosophising.

On Saturday you can feel the wind against your cheeks in a starkers bike ride; or there’s a fully-clothed bike ride if you’d prefer. Head to Borough market to build your own brekkie; or get shnuggly with the dinosaurs at the Natural History Museum.

On Sunday keep the party going with the better half of Groove Armada; or find out everything that you didn’t know about Woody Allen at the ICA.

It’s OK guys, the Cath Kidston bunting’s down and Cliff Richard’s gone home, it’s safe to come outside……
